FDT Technology Gains IEC International Standard Approval

IEC Approval Validates the Mission of the FDT Group to Provide Standardized Easy-to-Deploy Field Interface Solutions for the Automation Industry

Brussels, June 24, 2009: The FDT Group AISBL proudly announces that the FDT specification unanimously passed the vote of the international standardization community represented by 26 national committees to become an International IEC Standard - IEC 62453.  In addition to the member countries of the IEC SC 65E Sub-Committee, 8 more countries have voluntarily approved all parts of the FDT specification. All documents will soon be available by the IEC.

The FDT Group will continue to concentrate on maintaining and enhancing the FDT technology according to end users feedback and emerging new technologies.   Users can now confidently use FDT Technology knowing that it has attained the overwhelming endorsement of the international community.
